Hey hey hey, Friday!
Every Friday, I share a Finding Five post where I talk about five “happies” from my week and encourage you to find your “happies” too! “Happies” can be any little thing that makes you smile or puts you in a good mood throughout your normal day. When we start to notice these “happies” in our daily lives, we are much more thankful for our normal days!
Today is going to be a mixture of two weeks worth of happies since I was on vacation last week!
If you’d like to read all about our trip to the Pocono’s, click here.
In Tuesday’s post, I shared all about our adventures in the mountains and literally in every picture Alexandria and I are wearing these shorts. They are light and easy to move around in when you’re being active so they were the perfect staple for our trip!
I’m also always wearing these sunglasses, earrings, and bracelet with my hair in braids 🙂 .
This picture popped up in my Bible app this week and really encouraged me.
This mascara is a game changer. I got to try it as a sample last month, and as soon as it was released I picked myself up a full size bottle. This is the seriously the best mascara I’ve ever used, and I don’t say that lightly. I’ve tried tons of different mascaras and none of them give as much length and volume as this one does. Try it. You won’t be disappointed! You can find the full size bottle here or the travel size here.
That’s OPI’s Polly Want a Lacquer (aka my favorite name ever) on my fingers 🙂
On Saturday, I left on a flight from Philadelphia and landed in…
Dallas! Our sweet neighbors who moved to Dallas about a year ago picked me up from the airport and showed me around their new town for the day (and I got to see them again on Tuesday for lunch and pedicures!).
The rest of the week, Eric and I have been playing TopGolf, swimming, seeing movies (Kidnap was so intense!), and started training for our second half marathon.
I even took a trip to McKinney one day and enjoyed lunch, shopping and a little bit of reading in the square. It was such a nice day! To check out what I’ve been reading this year, click here. I’ve got a lot of books to share with you next month!
Pssst: That’s Essie’s Bikini So Teeny on my toes 🙂
I can’t talk enough about how much FUN I’ve had over the last two weeks!
In addition to our trip to the Pocono’s, I’ve…
been to my five year high school reunion (what?!)…
cheered on Alexandria and her team…
and finished my three month fieldwork. This is a huge component of my grad school program, and I was incredibly thankful to have such a smart, giving and empathetic mentor to help me through every step of it. It was an amazing summer!
Thanks for sharing my happies with me today!
Have a wonderful weekend!
xoxo
Sounds like an eventful week! Isn’t it crazy how fast time flies!? Hope you had a wonderful time at your high school reunion!
