Hey there, Tuesday!
I was going to wait until Friday to post a Finding Five post, but I had so many pictures from our trip to the Pocono Mountains that I decided to make a whole post about it!
Pennsylvania is a relatively frequent vacation spot for us because we have family that lives there, and they always help us to make the best memories!
Alexandria turned sixteen this year, and in lieu of a birthday celebration at home she wanted to take an “adventurous” trip to visit our cousins in the Pocono’s!
Spoiler alert: I’m wearing my hair in braids in every. single. picture. from this trip because they’re just such an easy way to keep your hair out of your face and off of your body when it’s hot out and you’re moving around!
Here we go!
Before heading up to their mountain house, we started off with a trip to…
iFly for indoor skydiving!
iFly uses huge gusts of air in an air chamber to simulate an indoor skydiving experience! It was SO much fun!
After our iFly adventure, we relaxed with a pool party and enjoyed some cheeseburgers in paradise 😉 .
(Pssst: That’s Essie’s Baguette Me Not on my toes)
We headed to the Pocono’s later that evening and the next day we woke up to go white water rafting and…
celebrate my dad and Aunt Kim’s birthdays!
We enjoyed some delicious Italian food and dessert at Trattoria 903 and then headed back to the house to play…
Tenzi! Tenzi is a fun little dice game that Aunt Kim introduced us to, and we had so much fun playing it! It’s a quick game so it’s easy to fit in when you have a little extra time here or there. The official game comes with only four sets of dye, so they ordered this ten pack that was much better for a big group!
We had a lazy morning the next day, and I took full advantage of getting to read with a view (we don’t get to see deer in our backyard in Louisiana!).
Later that day we went for a hike to Hawk Falls and had so much fun!
Hiking is something that we don’t get to do at home, so we enjoy this so much!

Uncle John did the best job leading us in all of our adventures 🙂 .
We finished our hike to Hawk Falls, crossed the highway and hiked to the boulder field at Hickory Run State Park! The boulder field was naturally formed as a result of glacial melt, and we have so much fun walking across it. This was our third time visiting the boulder field, and it never gets old!
The next morning, we got up to hike a portion of the Appalachian Trail! This trail was super challenging but so neat to hike.
On Saturday we packed up, grabbed some Starbucks and headed to the airport! It was definitely a week to remember.
Thanks so much for reading along with me today! I’ll be back on Friday for a Finding Five post.
Have a great week!
xoxo
