Happy Wednesday, friends!
I typically share a Paperback Picks post with you at the end of every month where I talk about the books I read that month plus a little Bible verse read. This summer has been super busy for me, and I didn’t get as much reading in as I had planned! I’m here to share the books I read this summer (one for each month) and then am hoping to get back on track for the fall!
I am a huge Elin Hilderbrand fan, and The Beach Club did not disappoint. The story is set on Nantucket (of course!) and is centered around a hotel and beach club that is an iconic place to spend summer days on the island. There’s a few different story lines between the owners and workers at the club that kept me eager to find out what happened next. This one is a good, easy read to end your summer with!
Yall. If you only read one book this year, let it be Girl Wash Your Face. Rachel Hollis does an incredible job of using her own down to earth stories to encourage you, make you laugh and motivate you to really achieve your goals! She makes you feel like you’re having a conversation with her, which makes this one such a quick and easy read! I can’t say enough good things about this book (I even went and saw the movie!). Do yourself a favor and go grab it for yourself!
I’ve been wanting to read Unstuffed for a while now, and it was so much more than I expected it to be! Ruth Soukup not only encourages you to unstuff all of the “things” in your life but also to unstuff your schedule, your relationships, and everything you can think of on a physical, mental and emotional level. I couldn’t put this one down, and I loved all of the tangible ideas that it gave! Ruth addresses every barrier that you may face when trying to unstuff your life and helps you work through them. This one was another great motivational read!
I’ll leave you with this Bible verse today:
“But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.” Ephesians 4:7
Thanks for giving me grace today and reading along with my recap from the summer!
If you’d like to read about the 24 books I read in 2017, find that here. To keep up with what I’m reading this year, click here. And if you’d like to be friends with me on Goodreads where I share about the books I’m reading and want to read, find me here 🙂
See you back here on Friday, friends!
xoxo
