Finding Five

Happy happy Friday!

Every Friday, I share a Finding Five post where I talk about five “happies” from my week. A happy is any little thing in your normal day that makes you smile or puts you in a good mood! Acknowledging our happies helps us to be thankful for our little everyday lives. I hope that by sharing my happies with you, you are encouraged to find your own each day! Our happies are all around us… we just have to look for them!

Fashion

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is open to the public as of today, and I’m obsessed with this cute pair of shoes! I have a feeling I’ll be wearing them on repeat 🙂

Faith

I came across this verse this week, and it really struck me:

“‘Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.”‘ Mark 6:31

Jesus was talking to his disciples here, but I felt like He was speaking straight to my heart.  God wants us to take the time to spend with Him and in His word because the only way that we can truly find rest and peace is through Him. How many times do we make time for one more episode on Netflix or one more scroll through Instagram? It’s so incredibly important to make our quiet time a priority! I’m challenging myself (and you!) to take the time today to spend with God and see what He has in store for us. 🙂

We had so much fun celebrating Kathleen turning 30 with a surprise party on Friday!

Merritt was in town this weekend, and we got to walk the lakes with Lucky! We stopped to take a picture in front of our sorority (where we met!) 🙂
