Happy Thursday, friends!
Each month, I read a few books and share them here with you along with a little Bible verse read. The beginning of May was crazy for me so I thought it would be fun to share my April Paperback Picks post with you today and then come back and share my May post next week! Sound fun?!
Here’s what I read in April!
I’ve read three Emily Giffin books before, and Baby Proof was my favorite one yet. It’s about a married couple who decided long ago that they didn’t want any kids, but the husband changes his mind. This turns the couple’s worlds upside down, and it really drew me in to follow along with their story! If you haven’t read an Emily Giffin book before, I would recommend starting with this one.
Friends. I’ve never read a historical fiction book (other than those I read in school), and this one was nothing short of amazing. Lilac Girls is set during World War II and follows the stories of three very different women and how they eventually intertwine. This story was raw. It was heartbreaking. And I couldn’t put it down! I’m itching to read more historical fiction books now because this one was just so good!
I’ll leave you with a verse for your Thursday:
“I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” Psalm 139:14
Remember that, friends!
If you’d like to read about the 24 books I read in 2017, find that here. To keep up with what I’m reading this year, click here. And if you’d like to be friends with me on Goodreads where I share about the books I’m reading and want to read, find me here 🙂
Have you read anything good lately?! I’d love to hear!
I’ll see you back here tomorrow for a Finding Five post and then on Monday to share the three books I’ve read this month!
Have the very best day!
xoxo
