It’s the last Friday of 2017!
Instead of a Finding Five post, I’m sharing a 2017 in Review post with you today ๐
But first I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to YOU for sharing my year with me through Finding Happy.ย I am incredibly thankful for the support and love you have shown me and am so excited to see what 2018 has in hold for us.ย I’m kicking off the year with something extra special as Finding Happy turns one in a couple of weeks and can’t wait to share that with you!
January
We rang in the New Year in Colorado ๐
I cheered on Alexandria at State, started Finding Happy, and …
…celebrated one year of dating this guy ๐
February
This month was all about Alexandria…
We traveled to Disney World to watch her at Nationals…
celebrated her 16th birthday (what?!)
…and cheered her on at 9 different Mardi Gras parades ๐
March
In March, we went to see Sadie Robertson speak at Winter Jam…
spent lots of time outside enjoying picnics, walks and yoga…
and made our very first trip to McKinney ๐
April
April was a big month!ย We started it off in Philadelphia for AOTA’s Annual Conference celebrating OT’s centennial!
We went to the first ever Baby Cakes game ๐
We ran the Crescent City Classic and celebrated Easter…
and Merritt took me to Jazz Fest for my very first time ๐
May
We started off May throwing it back to the 90’s!
We celebrated Mother’s Day seeing Finding Neverland…
and spent Memorial Day weekend at Bayou Country Superfest!
June
In June, we celebrated my 23rd birthday!
And took a trip to Biloxi for Father’s Day weekend ๐
July
I spent Fourth of July Weekend in Dallas with Eric…
saw Scotty McCreery with Lexi and Alexandria for the fourth time…
finished my fieldwork with one of my very favorite OTs…
and went to my five year high school reunion!
August
We spent a week in Pennsylvania with our cousins…
and then I flew straight to Dallas to visit Eric!
We enjoyed a Thursday at a Saints game ๐
But our month ended hard when we lost our Jo.ย Jo was an incredible woman who touched so many lives, and I’m so thankful that she was a part of mine.
September
September included a trip to the beach…
a Saints 5k…
and another trip to Dallas.
September was a hard month too because we lost Snickers. I have so much love for that sweet girl.
October
In October, we went to the first ever Flambeau Fest (which was awesome!)
ย I got to sponsor Alexandria for her confirmation ๐
We visited the most beautiful pumpkin patch at the Dallas Arboretum…
And we ran our second half marathon!
November
In November, we celebrated Lexi’s birthday with $2 tacos!
Shelby hosted Friendsgiving ๐
And we kicked off the Christmas season!
December
We started December off getting pinned for our last semester of grad school (and celebrating Shelby’s birthday!)
Merritt hosted our annual sorority family Christmas party ๐
And we celebrated the birth of Baby Jesus with our family ๐
What a year!ย Looking back on 2017, I feel so incredibly blessed.ย I’ve had laughs and tears, vacations and concerts, but most of all I’ve gotten to make so many special memories with the people that I love.ย God is so good.
I can’t wait to see what 2018 has in store!
Happy New Year’s, friends!
xoxo
So many amazing 2017 memories!! Wishing you will make incredible memories this year!
