Finding Five

It’s officially Christmas weekend, friends!

I’m kicking off the weekend with a Finding Five post (like every Friday), and then I’ll be in full on Christmas mode!

Every Friday, I share a Finding Five post where I talk about five “happies” from my week.  A happy can be any little thing that makes you smile or puts you in a good mood!  Acknowledging our happies around us helps us to be thankful for the little things and puts us in a whole new mindset of happiness!  Your happies are all around you… you just have to look for them!

Fashion

I’m still loving and wearing that jacket all the time!  We met up with some of our neighbors who moved to Dallas this week to look at some incredible lights in Highland Park, and this jacket kept me nice and warm!

Faith

I still can’t get enough of this book!  One of the things it talks about is celebrating Christmas all year long.  I love the idea of this!  A lot of times, during this time of year we really think about the things and people we are thankful for and foster a spirit of giving.  Why not do this all year long?  Give your waiter a little extra tip, compliment the girl that walks by, donate to a good cause… we can let Christmas live in our hearts all year long!

Fun

Every December, Merritt hosts a Christmas party for our sorority family.  Each year, the youngest member gets a “little” who joins the family, and we’ve been so lucky to have all of our new family members come each year!  We look forward to this night all year long and have so much fun catching up and meeting our newest family member!  We’re stacked in the order that our family was made 🙂

Family

We celebrated Grammie’s 84th birthday on Friday and got her her very first Nothing Bundt Cakes cake!  I love my Grammie a bunch 🙂
