Happy Friday, friends!!
Every Friday, I share a Finding Five post where I talk about five “happies” from my week. A happy can be anything that you enjoy during your day that makes you feel just that… happy! I write down my happies at the end of every day and encourage you to look for yours too. 🙂
I busted out my very favorite leggings this week with the cooler weather we’re finally having and couldn’t be happier about it! These leggings are the softest pair of pants you will ever wear. They are a splurge, but once you have them you’ll wonder how you ever lived without them. Bonus: They made them in FIFTEEN colors this year! I’ll be wearing them more often than not in the coming months!
Psssst: I’m wearing the comfiest flannel shirt from Old Navy! Find this year’s patterns here. Give me all the plaid this time of year!
Remember when I shared about Hugs during our first trip to McKinney back in the Spring?
Hugs Cafe is a non-profit restaurant in McKinney, Texas that employs adults with special needs to empower them and give them the skills they need to succeed.
We finally got to try it out this weekend, and it was as sweet as can be! Everyone there was such a happy presence…
…and our meal ended with a hug. 🙂
My OT heart is a big believer in everyone having the chance to have a meaningful role in their community, and Hugs does a great job at promoting that! If you’d like to learn more about Hugs or make a donation to the awesome cause, check them out here.
I’ve been all about the honey scents this fall and have been loving this hand cream lately!
I also discovered the very best scented candle and can’t get enough of it! I feel like I should buy twenty a couple to stock up because this scent has been making me all kinds of happy!
While we were in McKinney for the day, we ate at Hugs, did a little shopping and just enjoyed everything about their cute little square!
This sign spoke right to my fall loving heart 🙂
A lot of stores already had their Christmas decorations out, and I was having the best time gushing over looking at them 🙂
Later that afternoon, we went to the McKinney Wine & Music Festival and had so much fun exploring this little fest! We wrapped up the day watching the LSU game (our tigers played so well!) and making chocolate chip cookies 🙂
We visited Autumn at the Arboretum at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden on Sunday, and I was in fall heaven!
“Highlighting The Wonderful World of Oz as our theme in 2017, our fall festival is a spectacular show of color with 4,500 of fall’s favorite flower-Chrysanthemums, along with 150,000 more stunning, fall blooming plants, and our internationally acclaimed Pumpkin Village, featuring more than 90,000 pumpkins, squash and gourds, plus the outstanding Children’s Adventure Garden.”
90,000 pumpkins?! Yes please!
The Wizard of Oz theme was SO precious and brought back all kinds of memories of the classic movie!
Pumpkins, squash and gourds, oh my!
It was truly incredible and so creative!
It wouldn’t be the Wizard of Oz without a yellow brick road 🙂
The 66 acres of grounds at the Arboretum are truly breathtaking. We got to tour the 21,000 square foot home of the DeGolyers (who originally lived on the grounds), and it was so neat to be taken back to another time period and learn so much about how the gardens came to be.
This one is definitely a must see if you’re ever in the Dallas area!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
I’ll be back on Monday with a Paperback Picks post so come back and check that out 🙂
I’ve got all the Halloween festivities planned for this weekend and hope you have the best weekend too!
xoxo

I’m absolutely loving the idea of this post, it’s so cute! Lululemon makes my absolutely favorite leggings! If you like soft leggings, I also recommend the Moto Leggings from Lucy, they’re soooooo soft, high waisted, and have conceded side pockets that are really deep!
