Happy Friday!
Each Friday I share five “happies” from my week with you. Happies can be anything that make you smile or put you in a good mood in your everyday life! By sharing mine, I hope to encourage you to find your own.
Thanks for stopping by!
I went to visit Eric in Dallas this weekend which meant…
…a trip to McKinney! Inspired by Shay’s love for this sweet little town, McKinney, TX has become one of my favorite places to visit for the day! I was loving my bandana and sandals for a festive + patriotic little look 🙂 .
Madewell’s bandanas are the cutest! I bought mine in the retro navy & cream combo, but it comes in seven different colors! I really like the white wash color, too!
We ate at Square Burger and enjoyed the best burgers and sweet potato fries!
We got to see a magic trick at this cute little shop…
…and took a trip to Mom and Popcorn (hello dark chocolate covered raisins)!
It was the sweetest little day 🙂
“Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” John 13:34
I shared this sweet bible verse in my Paperback Picks post this week because it’s one of my favorite reminders of how to treat those around us!
On Monday, we took a trip to the Galleria!
I’ve been obsessing over these earrings online forever and thought they were even cuter in person!
On Monday night, we went to eat at St. Martin’s Wine Bistro in Dallas. It was the cutest little French restaurant with amazing food! The food was great, the atmosphere was perfect (including a live piano bar!) and the servers were incredibly attentive. St. Martin’s was voted in the top five most romantic restaurants in Dallas and the top ten in the US! If you’re looking for a nice dinner in Dallas… you should probably run there. Maybe even book a flight there if not 😉 . You won’t be disappointed!
After dinner, we changed and went to Addison’s Kaboom Town event, which has live music, an air show, and a huge firework show (it’s been named one of the best in the country)! We were able to watch the show from where they shoot the fireworks off (at the Addison airport!) and had the very best time.
How cool is that?!
The next day, we went to the Dallas Museum of Art and Klyde Warren Park. The park hosts all kinds of events and has food trucks out for lunch every day!
Tacos + popsicles was the best combo for our hot Fourth of July day!
Psst: I’m still loving my earrings (on sale!) + OPI’s Gelato On My Mind 🙂
My dad and I went to get sushi this week…
and I was obsessed with my fortune! Putting a positive spin on your life makes all the difference in how happy your life feels.
That’s it for today!
I hope you have a great weekend 🙂
xoxo
McKinney does look like a cute town! That candy shop looks amazing! I need to remember to add St. Martin’s on my list. Most romantic restaurant in the U.S? Yes please haha. I need to tell my husband!
